Sources

State rules, rates and thresholds come from the state's department of revenue, the state statute, or the Streamlined Sales Tax Governing Board. Where a page states a threshold, rate or deadline, we aim to link the primary source for it.

Keeping pages current

Every page shows a last-updated date. When a state changes a rule, we update the affected pages and the date. Pages we have not yet checked against a recent change are kept out of search indexes until they are.

Covering providers

This site is published by TaxCloud, which is one of the providers on the comparison pages. Competitor pricing and features are drawn from each provider's public pages and dated. Providers cannot pay for placement or coverage.

Corrections

If you find an error, tell us and we will fix it and update the page date. See the about page for who publishes the site.
